Overview
The Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the UK’s leading orchestras seeks a Creative Artworker (Midweight).
The main purpose of the job is to manage the production of all the organisation’s publicity materials, maintain our websites and be the liaison between our IT external advisers and web developers to ensure all IT and communication systems are in good working order.
This is a permanent part-time position for 3 days a week, based in our London Office.
The holiday entitlement is 12 days plus Bank Holidays.
Applicant must have the right to work in the UK.
Salary according to experience.
Responsibilities:
Design:
- Design all publicity materials (based on existing templates and according to our brand guidelines) such as brochures, concert programmes, ads, posters, leaflets, newsletters, stationery, banners, CDs, social media graphics
- Liaise with the OPO team to get the necessary copy and external suppliers, printers, photographers, web developers to ensure that print and digital design is produced within given deadline and budget and to specified quality standards
- Maintain our websites and liaise with external web developers to fix issues
- Work with marketing department to create designs that will attract targeted audiences
Essential skills:
- 2 years (minimum) graphic design experience with a portfolio of designs
- Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite: Mainly Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
- WordPress for web design
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- IT skills to liaise with our external IT company to troubleshoot issues and to assist the team
- Ability to work independently and in a team
