Booking Information

Conditions of Sale

Tickets can only be refunded if a concert is sold out or cancelled, in which case an administration fee of £2 per ticket will apply. Tickets may be exchanged for another concert or credit voucher (valid for 6 months) up to two weeks before the date of the concert.

We reserve the right to change artists, venue or programme where unavoidable. We reserve the right to refuse admission.

Children under the age of 6 cannot be admitted to OPO concerts, with the exception of FUNomusica family concerts. Children over the age of 2 require a ticket for family concerts.

How to save

Save 10% by booking 6-9 concerts, or 15% by booking 10 or more concerts in one transaction (non-refundable). Group bookings of 10 or more tickets save 10%.

Under 18s and full-time students receive £5 tickets in the lowest price band or a £5 discount for all other price bands through generous contributions to our Concert Ticket Access Fund for Students.

Registered disabled customers and wheelchair users with one companion save 50%. Those receiving unemployment benefits save £5 on full-price tickets.

Please note that discounts cannot be combined.

Venue Information

Our primary concert venue is the Sheldonian Theatre, an historic 17th century building designed by the architect Sir Christopher Wren located in the heart of Oxford’s City Centre. The Orchestra also performs at other Oxford venues such as Oxford Town Hall, Holywell Music Room, the TS Eliot Theatre and the Olivier Hall.

Doors open 30 minutes before the advertised concert time and 10 minutes before a pre-concert event.

BOX OFFICE

The box office at the Sheldonian Theatre opens 4 hours before each concert, and 1 hour before the concert at all other venues.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

All our venues have disabled access and facilities. If you require a wheelchair space or have specific access or seating requirements, please call the box office so that we can advise you on the best seating arrangement for your needs.

UNRESERVED SEATING

Unreserved seating entitles you to a seat within your chosen area rather than a specific seat. Sponsors and those with disabilities are entitled to reserved seating in these areas, allocated at the Orchestra’s discretion.

LATECOMERS

We will do our best to admit latecomers whenever possible at an appropriate point in the performance. Latecomers will be seated in a designated area until the interval, when they can take their allocated seat.
