Freshers’ Fair 2026
The Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra is committed to ensuring our concerts can be attended by the widest range of individuals. We are proud to have developed such a strong connection with the city’s students, who now make up, on average, over a quarter of our audience.
The OPO team returned to the annual Oxford SU Freshers’ Fair earlier this month to chat to students interested in classical music over two days. At our stall, we gave away over 1,000 free tickets to our upcoming concerts, enough to fill our home venue, the Sheldonian Theatre, twice!
If you’re a student who missed the chance to snag a complimentary seat, don’t worry, you can still book a ticket to any of our Oxford concerts for just £5 through the Ticket Access Scheme.
The £5 ticket initiative was launched with the Orchestra in 1998 and has been kept at the same price ever since, allowing thousands of students and under-18s to experience live classical music.
Whether a student or not, the 2026/27 Season is off to a great start, and we can’t wait to see you soon. Check out our upcoming concerts here.
