Taking on the firepower and character of the symphony orchestra in Rachmaninov’s fiendish Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, he is sure to set out his stall in style. Marios Papadopoulos and the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra complete the programme with sparkling Rossini and Tchaikovsky’s most heart-on-sleeve symphony.
