Without our supporters, we could never sustain the world-class music making that we promote in Oxford, across the Thames Valley and beyond.
Like most other UK orchestras, a sell-out concert will make a substantial loss with box office takings at best only just covering the fees of the orchestral players. In order to break even, we would have to double the price of our tickets.
The Orchestra receives no regular funding from the Arts Council and relies entirely on its own fundraising efforts to maintain not only its ambitious concert programme featuring outstanding musicians but also its pioneering education projects and community work, all whilst striving to remain affordable and accessible to all.
You can help us to maintain these wonderful concerts and projects within the community. There are numerous ways to contribute to the musical world of the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra, most donations attract Gift Aid.
