Brimming with youthful energy, Mozart's 1772 Divertimento in B flat blends charm and wit with a heavenly narrative. With varied melodic decoration throughout his Concerto for Flute and Harp, the angelic pairing of principal flautist Anthony Robb and harpist Lucy Wakeford abounds in Mozart's everlasting invention. Schumann's euphoric response to visiting the Rhineland, his Third Symphony, forms a work of melodic and rhythmic exuberance, set within a magisterial symphonic canvas.
