Three works inspired by ancient gods come together in this concert of contrasts. Two well-loved symphonies by masterful Classical composers frame Britten’s expressive work for strings and piano, performed on this occasion by the impressive young pianist Mark Viner – a regular attendee of Oxford Philomusica’s annual International Piano Festival.
