Multi-award winning Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki is one of the most distinguished musicians of his generation. Works like Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima, St Luke Passion, Cello Concerto No. 2 written for Mstislav Rostropovich, Polish Requiem, Violin Concerto No. 2, 'Metamorphosen' written for Anne-Sophie Mutter and the Double Conceto written for Janine Jansen and Julian Rachlin, to name a few, are now considered masterworks of our time. Oxford composers will get a rare chance to engage with the man hailed by some as Poland's greatest living composer in this Q & A session, hosted by Professor Robert Saxton.
