Oxfordshire Concerto Competition Information for Applicants

Showcasing and rewarding Oxfordshire’s musical talent

Presented by the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra and Oxfordshire County Music Service

Since its launch in 2011/12, the Oxfordshire Concerto Competition has seen many exceptional performances by talented young musicians. The senior competition returns in 2017/18, allowing the three finalists to perform a concerto with the Oxford Philharmonic. The winner will receive a cash prize of £1000.

The three competition rounds will take place in front of a distinguished judging panel. The final will take place in the Oxford Town Hall on 3 March 2018, and the winner will be announced on the same evening.

“It was the most wonderful feeling to play with such a fantastic orchestra and I was thrilled to win.”

Emma Lisney, winner of the Oxfordshire Senior Concerto Competition 2016
