The Soloists of Oxford Philomusica
In celebration of the 300th anniversary of his birth, the Soloists of the Oxford Philomusica have reconstructed an 18th century musical soiree as it might have taken place at the imperial Prussian court. J S Bach's Trio Sonata from 'The Musical Offering' , famously based on a theme by Frederick, is complemented by music from the Emperor himself, from Bach's eldest son, and from just three of the many distinguished - but now nearly forgotten - composers drawn into the orbit of the 'Flute King'.
