Alexander Kobrin - piano
Continuing from John Lill’s rendition of Schumann's Kinderszenen earlier in the Festival, Alexander Kobrin presents the composer’s similarly styled later work ‘Forest Scenes’, along with 'Variations on a theme by Schumann' - Brahms’ homage to his compositional mentor. The former winner of the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition will also perform the second set of Études by one of the greatest-ever composers for piano, Chopin.
