The presenter, Alasdair, transforms into the Madhatter for this event. Through the music we'll meet Alice, shrink then become huge as we munch on some mushrooms, encounter the Cheshire Cat, as well as hearing plenty of mad, mad music including the Madhatter's Maddest Musical Moment! There will also be Lots of Looney Limericks as the audience are invited to write some limericks and the best ones will be read out with musical accompaniment from the orchestra. The music includes The Girl with the Flaxen Hair, A Musical Joke, The Waltzing Cat and of course, Tea for Two!

The highlight of our 10th Anniversary celebrations is a fund-raising concert and dinner in the magnificent surroundings of London's Banqueting House. This Royal Palace, designed by Inigo Jones and completed in 1622, has been the setting for some of the most dramatic events in English history. The stunning architecture and Rubens ceiling of the Main Hall will provide a spectacular backdrop to an unique and unforgettable evening.

Brahms' sunniest and ultimately most brilliant symphony is paired with the most familiar concerto by Schumann, with whom Brahms enjoyed a close, if ambivalent relationship. At the piano is the amazing 16 year old prodigy Kit Armstrong, endorsed by Alfred Brendel as 'a brilliantly gifted musician of exceptional promise'.
The concert opens with Weber’s Overture to his seminal opera, Der Freischütz.
