- The London Voices
This concert sees the meeting of two great British icons, both celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. The Ronnie Scott Big Band will be coming to the MINI Plant Oxford to mark the birthday of the designer of the classic Mini, Sir Alec Issigonis.
For its third appearance at the car plant, Oxford Philomusica will team up with the jazz band to recreate a 1950s jazz club feel. It was a magical era when popular music was coloured by the sophisticated instrumentations of arrangers like Nelson Riddle, and delivered by a string of unforgettable artists like Frank Sinatra.
Programme to include:
Take Five, Got You Under My Skin, Mack The Knife, Lady Is A Tramp, From Russia With Love, Moon River, Bring Me Sunshine, Cheek To Cheek, I Could Have Danced All Night.
A limited number of free post-concert tours of MINI Plant Oxford will be available on a first come, first served basis through Oxford Philomusica on 020 8450 1060. Places will be confirmed by separate ticket. Not open to people with a heart pacemaker or children under the age of 14.

A conversation with Marios Papadopoulos.
Oxford Philomusica's Brahms Series resumes with a programme which contrasts the autumnal glow of the Third Symphony with the classical crispness of the Violin Concerto by his much-admired and inspirational predecessor, Beethoven. At the age of thirty, the already seasoned international soloist, Jack Liebeck, makes his debut with the Orchestra.
