Friends Evenings

A musical evening of chamber music accompanied by dinner is held once a term at an Oxford College. Starting at 7pm, the evening follows the format of drinks, a musical interlude and talk about an aspect of the orchestra’s work provided by a member of the orchestra and then dinner followed by coffee. Tickets are £40 per head. Invitations are sent out six weeks before these events, and dates are publicised in OP Keynotes, our quarterly newsletter.

Receptions

At Sheldonian concerts, there is wine and mineral water available during the 20 minute interval. Members may help themselves to a complimentary glass, served in the Cecil Jackson Room of the Sheldonian Theatre, while you meet members of the orchestra.

Tickets

Friends receive a 15% discount that is applied on top of senior concessions for a single ticket per concert (Oxford Philomusica promotions only). Joint Friends can buy two discounted tickets per concert. For example, a ticket in the Lower Gallery @£26 with senior concession of £3 would cost £19.55, saving you over £6!

Box Office

Please book your tickets through Oxford Philomusica’s Box Office on 020 8450 1060 and mention you are a member of the Friends Scheme. On the day of the concert, tickets may be bought on the door when showing your membership card.

The Friends Scheme is an annual subscription running from September to August every year.
